Pixel Magic SE is CODEC and application independent. By processing the video data directly out of the frame buffer, before the data is encoded or after it's decoded, Pixel Magic SE can enhance video from any CODEC or raw formats. It is also designed to be CPU and Operating System independent, giving the customer complete design flexibility.

Pixel Magic SE innovative algorithms reduce or totally eliminate distortions generated by various types of CODECs, as well as noise and imperfections caused by sensors and LCD displays. In particular, Pixel Magic SE enhances contrast and brightness, skin tone and color, edge and detail. It also provides video signal boosting tailored specifically for LCD displays. These combined capabilities make Ipera's unique technology ideal for video servers that need to enhance the video quality before storing or transmitting the data. Also by reducing noise and compression artifacts, higher compression ratio can be realized by the Encoder and thereby reducing the bitrate required for transmission. Ipera’s Pixel Xtream line of transcoders/streaming encoders are built on Pixel Magic SE technology.

Pixel Magic SE currently runs on X-86 architectures. It requires CPUs that support SSE2 technology. CPU usage depends features required and video frame rate and resolution. Please contact Ipera marketing if more information is needed.
