Position:  VP of Engineering

The ideal candidate must be a well-recognized and still hands-on technologist in the image and video technology (enhancement, compression, conversion) space and have at least 10 years of experience in DSP/video & image processing algorithm and video-related embedded system or SoC design. Proven track record as a can-do manager of at least 25 people is also required.  Startup experience is a big plus. 


Reporting to the CEO, as a key member of a dynamic management team, the VP of Engineering will be responsible for all aspects in driving the definition and delivery of next generation image/video-related technology products.  These will include providing technical vision, leadership, and direction for the engineering team.

Will also work closely with Sales and Marketing in bringing the technology to the markets. This position is based in Redwood Shores and must be able to travel (mainly to Asia) when needed and be a self-starter, a good leader, and a good team player.  MS degree in EE/CS required. 

Position: Application Engineer

We are currently seeking several application engineers who can help us grow, and who desire to build a professional and rewarding career. As a member of the technical staff, the individual will be responsible for all aspects of customer support, assistance in software product integration and help with product rollout. Successful applicant must have experience working with digital video software at the system level, including board and software applications. The job involves working closely with architecture, product definition, usability study, software integration, product testing, and product demo, etc. Responsibilities include telephone interface and technical support to our enterprise customers.

Qualified Candidates must have:

• Familiar with modern software development and verification techniques

• Experience and ability in testing digital video technology including "trained eyes"

• Strong knowledge of video CODECs (H.263/4, MPEG1/2/4, FLV, WMV)

• Experience in testing methodology and product demos

• Software skills with high level languages (C/C++, Java, Direct Show)

• Organized and detail-oriented personality

• Sense of urgency and ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks

• Excellent communication skills, (written and verbal)

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional environment

• Some travel will be required

• Past experience with PC and embedded software highly desirable

• Experience with video studio and production software is a plus

Position : Video Algorithm Design Manager/Algorithm Architect

Qualified candidates should have the following experience and background:

Requirements:

• Work with engineer executives and marketing, playing a lead role in defining and implementing cutting-edge video enhancement technology for embedded platforms.

• Manage multiple video R&D projects to ensure successful delivery, and perform hands-on engineer tasks.

Abilities/Skills:

• Must be an accomplished technologist with proven track record in designing winning solutions in video processing/enhancement space. Strong DSP, video algorithm background with hands-on experience.

• Solid understanding of video-enabled embedded system architecture, design trade-offs, design flow, implementation and optimization.

• Expert level knowledge in video processing/enhancement from architecture to implementation. Familiar with tools such a Matlab and proficient in C and assembly languages.

• Experience in video codec and FPGA is highly desirable. SoC and audio experience are also big plus.

• Well-disciplined, dedicated, highly motivated and self driven individual with great problem solving and team leadership skills.

Positions are based in Redwood Shores, CA.  May be required to travel up to 30% of the time to our Asia development office.

Position : Vice President / Director of Business Development

Successful candidate must have a minimum of 10 years experience in Business Development with measured track record in licensing IP intensive video technology to Tier 1 companies.  Additional sales and marketing experience is highly desirable.

• Will play a key role in the strategic development of the company.

• Have extensive industry contact with major brand OEMs in telecom, consumer electronics, PC, or streaming industry.

• Be able to learn new technology and articulate highly complex IP values to customers/partners.

• Have a successful track record in licensing leading-edge technology to industry leaders in consumer electronics, wireless, security, and digital media.

• Creative, hardworking, and skillful in team work.

• BS/BA (MBA a plus) in related field.  A degree in EE/CS and experience as an engineer is much desired.
